Randy is the Director of Coaching Education for the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), directing the national coaching certification program.  Past-President of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, Randy is also the race director for some of Arizona’s most popular events:  the TMC Saguaro Labor Day 8 Miler, TMC Get Moving Tucson Half Marathon & 5k, TMC Sunrise at Old Tucson, TMC Be Tucson Women’s 5k, and the TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k Night Run.  


As co-founder of Meet Me Concepts, LLC, Randy can often be found at Meet Me at Maynard’s in downtown Tucson or at Meet Me in Downtown Phoenix.  He loves throwing running parties (aka races) and meeting people through running almost as much as he loves heading out on a solitary trail run.  

In his spare time, Randy is the Mentor in Residence, Communication at the renowned McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona.  A two-time teacher of the year at the Eller College of Management and an award-winning scholar, Randy holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Arizona. 

Run Tucson was created by Tia and Randy Accetta to make our Tucson community healthier through running.
We’ve become a production arm for charity-based running events in Tucson in partnership with the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and Meet Me Concepts.
Tucson’s only RRCA-certified race directing organization, Run Tucson is currently partnered with Tucson Medical Center, the Running Shop, the Arizona Daily Star, My 92.9, The Morning Blend, Cox Communications, Rincon Air Conditioning & Heating, Connect Coworking and other local companies and organizations.
